About Charleton Churchill Photography

Charleton Churchill is a local Tahoe adventurer and wedding photographer who travels the world’s most rugged terrains to capture epic images of couples.  Charleton recently became the first photographer to shoot a Mt. Everest base camp wedding (with the couple wearing a wedding gown and tuxedo), which went viral internationally.  His work has appeared on TV and in popular magazines, including Live with Kelly and Ryan, People Magazine, the Today Show, Vogue, Junebug Weddings, The Knot’s Top Weddings, and on the covers of popular photography and wedding magazines.  Charleton has won many awards, including being named a Top 100 wedding photographer in the USA/Canada, as well as the Sony Impact Award for his humanitarian work in Nepal.  Charleton recently gave a TED Talk on Adventure weddings, and he has been a spokesman for Nikon and Profoto, speaking across the country at workshops, conferences and universities.

Charleton has hiked and photographed weddings all around Lake Tahoe.  His style has a natural feel, capturing the emotions and the story of the couple – candids, while being creative and epic.  He enjoys taking couples out on adventurous hikes and wedding photo sessions, and even more, enjoys being with his wife and three girls.
