These terms apply to tahoeengaged.com, run by Tahoe Engaged and the Tahoe Wedding Industry Group (TWIG) ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What the site is
tahoeengaged.com is a curated directory of Lake Tahoe wedding professionals, together with stories, guides, events and the Luminary Collective newsletter. Members are vetted when they join, but each member is an independent business. Any agreement you make for wedding services is between you and that business; we are not a party to it and are not responsible for their services, prices, availability or conduct.
Using the site
- Use the site lawfully and respectfully. Do not send spam, scrape the directory, try to break or overload the site, or impersonate anyone.
- Information you send through forms must be accurate and yours to share.
- Twiggy, our site guide, uses AI. Its answers are suggestions and may be wrong or out of date; please check important details (dates, prices, permits, venue rules) directly with the businesses and authorities involved.
Content you submit
When you submit content for publication (for example a Featured Luminary story, a real wedding, a member profile, photos or videos), you confirm that you own it or have permission to share it, including permission from photographers and the people shown. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, edit for length and style, and share that content on tahoeengaged.com, in our newsletter and on our social media accounts, with the credits you provide. You can ask us to remove it at any time; content already sent in a newsletter cannot be recalled.
Our content
The site's design, text, logos and the Tahoe Engaged and TWIG names belong to us or our licensors. Photos belong to the photographers and members credited (see Photo, Video and Artwork Credits). Please do not copy them without permission.
Membership
TWIG membership is subject to our requirements and Code of Ethics, and to the terms given when you join or renew. We may decline or end a membership or listing that does not meet them.
Links
The site links to other websites, including members' sites and social media. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
No warranty and limits of liability
The site is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it accurate and available but do not guarantee it is error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or from services you arrange with any member.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
